Most of the food distributed to food insecure households in Indianapolis comes from federal nutrition programs administered by the State. These programs provide 80% of all food assistance. Advocacy for these programs is essential to ensuring that the government plays its part efficiently and effectively.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element Matters is a free program that teaches participants how to make healthy, nutritious, and affordable meals, and how to use nutrition information to make healthier choices. Available in-person or virtually, participants cook and eat the meal together and then get to take ingredients home with them to make the meal with their
