Indy Hunger Network and the Indiana Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) collaborated to create a video series about the benefits of the WIC program. WIC serves to safeguard the health of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding parents as well as infants and children up to age 5 by providing nutritious foods, information on healthy eating, breastfeeding support, and referrals to health care. Many eligible families do not believe that they will qualify for WIC. Through the use of testimonials, these videos educate viewers and encourage them to see if they may qualify for additional assistance they may need. Indy Hunger Network and the Indiana Family and Social Service Administration (FSSA) collaborated to create a video series about the benefits of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance (SNAP) program. SNAP provides nutrition benefits to supplement the food budgets of households facing food insecurity so they can purchase healthy foods. Many eligible families do not believe that they qualify for SNAP. Through the use of testimonials, these videos educate viewers and encourage them to see if they qualify for additional assistance they may need.
