VOLUNTEER WITH IHN

Indy Hunger Network relies on our volunteer network to further our mission of ensuring that individuals and families have access to the food they need. If you are interested in volunteering or have questions about how you can help, please contact us.

PROFESSIONAL VOLUNTEERS

IHN relies on professionals who bring their expertise to our efforts—we couldn’t accomplish all that we have without them. If you are experienced in project management, data analysis, event planning or process improvement and would be willing to take on a long-term volunteer role, we would love to talk to you.

COOKING MATTERS

As part of the No Kid Hungry campaign to end childhood hunger in America, Share Our Strength’s Cooking Matters program teaches participants to shop smarter, use nutrition information to make healthier choices and cook delicious, affordable meals.

Cooking Matters provides professional-level curricula and instructional materials, training, evaluation and national leadership support, while local program partners provide hands-on, grassroots-level resources, program customization and relationships that are best addressed on the local level.

Cooking Matters and thousands of volunteer instructors have helped more than 172,000 low-income families in communities across the country learn how to eat better for less. Volunteers are always needed to help staff Cooking Matters classes.
